Oh no! Not another book on leadership! It is interesting that Peter Drucker wrote 40+ books on management, but was quite hesitant to comment on leadership. In fact, he is on the record for saying that leadership was “neither good, nor desirable.”

His good friend, William Cohen has seen the wisdom to compile a well-written and organized work that brings the best of Drucker as it applies to leadership, as well as management. Drucker’s timeless advice is now more relevant than ever. The book is organized into five parts:

You may not have read any of Peter Drucker’s books, but if you have been in business at all you have seen his effects from the boardroom to the stockroom. His philosophy was in contrast to the Total Quality Management movement. His ideas created theory Y in response to the tired ideas of theory X. Drucker’s fingerprints are all over the “ new style” of management. He was managing by walking around, before many of today’s management gurus were walking. I enjoy going to the source of the best information. Not only is this book the source of so many solid management ideas, it is a tremendous re-source.
