Did you ever think 10 years ago, that anyone would recommend a process called tweeting to enhance your marketing plan? Have you joined Facebook, LinkedIn, blogs, Twitter because you didn’t want to be left out? Do you still feel left out, and what does all this have to do about business and someone writing you a check? Are you confused about social media marketing? If you have asked yourself those questions, then you are not alone.
Bernie Borges, CEO of Find and Convert Inc, has provided us with some answers in the form of avery readable and information packed book, Marketing 2.0. If you are already ahead of the pack in social media marketing, just beginning or merely wondering what all the fuss is about, then this book is for you at this time.
I personally place myself in the just beginning group. I enjoyed this book because it did not start with any perception that I really understood the differences in the various social marketing venues now available. In a very concise and understandable style, Bernie introduces us into this growing world of relationships. It is comforting to note that sales are still relationship-based and the author is merely introducing us to new communication tools.
One of the most FAQs of the social media world is: How does the time spent in these areas result in the growth of my business, or What is the bottom line to “being online?”
Bernie devotes much of the book to explaining how to structure your time and exposure to best serve your business. Social media marketing is here to stay. Years from now many of us will look back on reading Marketing 2.0 and thank Bernie Borges for being one of the first to help us to understand this fast moving phenomenon.
